ART: One Cat Pass

One Cat Pass

My latest drawing… just finished it on Friday night. “One Cat Pass” is a representational abstract about my dead cat, Mr. Marsberry, passing through a cat shaped gate. Bit odd, yes… but it still feels odd that he’s not here anymore. The blue balloon wasn’t planned, wasn’t sure what would go there, was thinking maybe an eye but the balloon seems to fit.

Yes, I will post this drawing on my other blog since I already posted a photo of it there when it was ye maybe a third done… but since THIS blog is being revised to include my art, I need to start posting my art here. I did start some gallery pages by sizes under the “Art, &c.” page. In time, everything should all come together.

“One Cat Pass” was drawn with Faber-Castell Polychromos (oil based colored pencils) on 140 lb. Canson paper, 9 x 12 inches. Thanks for looking!

ACEO Preview

Here is a sneak peek of ACEO size art available for purchase… some are listed on Etsy. All are ORIGINALS – not copies, not prints – and most are colored pencil drawings.

Please know that all images in this gallery were scanned… not all colors scan well, especially some of those blues. If they look familiar, my “Artsy Buttons” are made with scans of some of my drawings. I have also posted photos of my art online in various places, including Facebook and my “old” WordPress blog, BeesATC.

With the exception of #319 Yellow Man, my art this size is numbered in the order created. (I don’t remember why Yellow Man got 319, maybe I forgot to number it or accidentally gave it a “used” number.) The number is just for my own records. I’m anal like that.

Each measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches, which is the same size as a baseball card.
Each is matted 5 x 7 inches, so they ship ready to frame.
Each is signed on the front with my artist symbol.

Some are available for purchase on Etsy. If what you want is not there, drop me a note… it might still be here. Thank you!

For sale or trade for pencils… a tin set box of 120 Faber-Castell Polychromos is currently $193.50 at Blick and the wooden boxed set is ye double that, so make me an offer. The top was wired for hanging after this photo was taken… email if you want more photos or better yet, come see it in person in downtown Youngstown, Ohio.

Thanks for looking!
